Bowering, a co-founder of Empresa Energy, is a 31 year veteran of the oil industry. He worked for 17 years with Exxon in various domestic and international exploration roles before leaving in 1998 to become President of Veritas Exploration Services. In 2001 He joined Ocean Energy as Vice President of Geoscience, and upon the purchase of Ocean Energy by Devon in 2003 he left to form an independent exploration venture. In 2004 he joined forces with Jeff Elkin to form Empresa.

Elkin, a co-founder of Empresa Energy in 2004, was previously Vice President of Reservoir Engineering at Greystone Petroleum, an Ark-La-Tex focused company that sold its properties to Chesapeake in 2004. Ricky has over 34 years industry experience in oil and gas drilling and production operations. He has held various senior level and management positions throughout his career and has extensive experience in both conventional and unconventional resources. Prior to joining the Empresa team Ricky worked for Coastal Management Corporation, Torch Operating Company, Ocean Energy, and most recently Devon Energy, where he was responsible for their East Texas and Northern Louisiana production operations.

Ms. Simmons has more than 35 years of accounting and forecasting experience in the oil & gas industry, with both publicly-held and private-equity backed companies. She started her career with Union Texas Petroleum and worked for Apache Corporation, CMS Oil & Gas Company, Black Elk Energy along with time with smaller oil and gas companies. Ms. Simmons joined the Empresa team in 2018. She graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting.

Lindsay Bowering is a Reservoir Engineer and Data Scientist here at Empresa Operating. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Utah, where she specialized in computer programming and numerical analysis. Stacia Folloder is a 2009 graduate of Louisiana State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture Business and Economics.  She has been with Empresa for six years.  Stacia provides support for the Accounting and Land Departments as well as handles all the Administrative and Office Management responsibilities.  Through her work experience at Empresa, Stacia has gained a broad understanding of many aspects of the energy industry.

Sean Smith joined Empresa in 2016 with 5 years of experience in the field of Engineering Technology. Prior to joining Empresa Energy, he worked at Century Exploration as a production and reservoir engineering tech and Sabine Oil and Gas as a drilling and completion engineering tech/water coordinator. At Empresa, Sean continues to use his technical knowledge to help with their current operations.
